Hello!

I am a Registered Psychotherapist in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

I obtained a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the United States. However, my clinical training experience in individual, couple, family, and group therapy work is from within Ontario. My experience ranges from work within community counselling agencies, private practice, and children's mental health. I have worked extensively with youth in school/university (12-18), adults, couples, parents, and families with various dynamics. I have also co-facilitated couples communication building workshops and parent/caregiver workshops.

I make the utmost effort to ensure I bring an openness and awareness of the different cultures, faiths, ethnicities, and racial backgrounds of the clients I serve. My own background as a Muslim Pakistani woman has also shaped my understanding of the various differences and nuances in the traditions, values, and lived experiences of the diverse clients I support. Additionally, I bring my personal experience as a wife and a mother, which I believe adds value and further understanding to the therapeutic work I do.

I am fluent in and provide services in English and Urdu. Some Gujarati and Spanish is utilized in my work as well.

I bring vital parts of my personal self to my work - my gentleness, silliness, sensitivity, and compassion. I am fond of a good comfort meal, relaxing travel, a hot cup of tea, an inspiring quote, a good horror movie, and laughs with my friends and family!
